OVERVIEW:

Morocco’s indigenous people, the Berbers, still use many of the ancient paths to transport themselves and their pack animals, the mules, around the Atlas Mountains, and these trails form the foundation of our new tour. Mules are a very much a live part of the infrastructure in the mountains and on this trip you’ll see locals who make a conscious choice not to use modern dirt roads but stick to the old routes instead. This helps keep narrow, vertiginous and tricky biking trails accessible,

ITINERARY:

After breakfast,You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech then short transfer like 1H30 takes us to the foot of Toubkal. Once we get to the village of Imlil, we will get our bikes, and ride towards the pass of Tizi n’Tamatert at 2280m. The first warm-up is on a good rolling road overlooking the deep valley against bottom with contrasting cultures terraces with a arid flanks.from the pass we will enjoyed the Tobkal view also we will have our lunch here in the pass. after lunch we ride down with a mule-path single-track till the village of Tamatert then we turn left towards Aremd village, one of the big village in Toubkal National park where we will spend the night in guest house. Mountain biking approx. 30 km. Overnight in Imi Aremd Village (1900m) – guesthouse

Today we are going over the pass Tizi Mezzik (2280m). Our bikes are transported by a mule and we are all walking to the pass. Then we will hit the road again with our bikes. A nice but difficult – single track – descent over rough and sometimes steep slopes through the beautiful valley of Azzaden to the village Tizi Ossem Village Along the way, we have views over beautiful valleys, after village we join the off-road till the pass of Tizi Ntacht where we will find our lunch made by our them, after lunch optional singltrack or we just continued with off-road till the village of Imi Oghlad like 12 klm till the village where we will spend the night in berber guest house. Total: walking approx. 2 hours Mountain biking approx. 35 km. Overnight in Imi Oghlad Village (1400m) – Berber guesthouse

A small decent on the asphalt road to Asni and then a nice climb to the pilgrimage village Moulay Brahim, on the edge of the Kik plateau. From the Kik plateau we still go up and down, to the larger mountain village Amizmiz, where we will have lunch and where we will finish our Montain biking then transfer to Marrakech like 50 minutes. Total approx 50 km.
